Julianna totally thinks she is a celebrity or something these days. Everytime I get the camera out (which is about 5 time a day :) she puts her hand out in front of her face like she is being stalked by the paparazzi and says "No more pictures Mama!" She must have seen last week's bath tub pics and decided enough is enough! Hee.

Dandelion Catoniaster Berry Soup
Wednesday was a beautiful day and Julianna and I spent hours outside. She literally spent over an hour making "soup". She wanted some water in a bucket and then proceeded to scour the neighborhood looking for dandelions. We really did walk up and down the street looking them. She then added what seemed like a million berries (I am told they were from the catoniaster plant). It was probably more like fifty, but she pretty much added them one by one. Lastly she added one pinecone, decided that she just the right amount of each ingredient, then stirred and stirred and stirred it all up with a stick. She kept pretending to taste it and saying "Mmmm. Good soup". I really did get the biggest kick out of my little gourmet. What a hoot.
Another quick story - I was trying to get Julianna ready for bed the other night and I whispered to her "Are you ready to go night-night?" and she looked right at me and whispered back "No". I just cracked up.
Pictures from the week:
From the park in Weezie's neighborhood last weekend:
Don't worry, we were spinning this thing so slowly you could hardly detect movement. She just thought she was going super fast.
At Sonic with Granddaddy and Grandmama. She rode this thing atleast 4 times! So cute and well worth the $2 in quarters!
Soup in progress. I forgot to get a pic of the finished product...
Mmmmm
Cutie Patootie in the tub.

Julianna had her weekly little music class today. They sing, play bells, tap sticks, throw bean bags and dance around with scarves. She is so super cute. She knows most of the songs now and sings and dances and has a couple little friends that she holds hands with while dancing. We both really look forward to it every week.
I seem to be talking about the weather tons lately (I'm getting to be a regular OLD person), but when you have a two year old, it seems like so much depends on whether you can go outside or not! Today was beautiful (actually sandal-wearing weather) and I wanted to drop off a few pics:

Big Bear
After her bath tonight Julianna insisted on getting in her crib with her GIANT bear. She calls him "Big Bear" which is funny because I had a bear that I slept with from the time that I was an itty bitty until, well let's just say that he made it to the dorms with me (seriously), that I called Big Bear too. I guess it's not such an original name, but it just brings back memories. By the way, my "Big Bear" was less than half the size of J's. I hope her Big Bear is half the friend to her that mine was to me.
His paw is bigger than her head!

March 16, 2009
Just wanted to drop off some pictures from the last week. It has been another wacky week weather wise. Started off sunny and in the 70's and ended up in the 40's and forever raining. It can definitely be, shall we say, "challenging" to be stuck inside with a 2 year old all day. That kid of mine needs to move!
On another note, we had Uncle "Joey!" and Aunt Justy's (Or Aunty Fish ;) little dog, Scruffy, here for the first part of the week. Julianna loved that dog! "Scruffy" was the first word out of her mouth every morning. Scruffy has some wild hair (hence the name) and Julianna was determined that she needed her hair brushed. She chased that dog around with a My Little Pony hair brush for 5 days! She would say "Ohhhh Scrufffffyyyyy! Brusssshhh Hairrr!" - like she was being really enticing. That girl is such a mess!
Oh yeah, she is obsessed with American Idol too. She saw the silly little song and dance number (A Jackson 5 medley) that they do at the beginning of every results show and danced and danced. Now she makes us watch it OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN! It really has become excruciating. I only have one other thing to say about American Idol - ANOOP!!!!
Ok, one more thing... I have the cutest video of Miss J saying "GOOOOO HEEELS!!" I will have to post it at some point - definitely if they win the national championship. I am going to have her so brainwashed that UNC is the only school she will even think about attending! Sorry Granddaddy, Grandmama, and Daddy - Our girl looks much better in Carolina Blue than Jumpsuit Orange! Then again, who doesn't?
For just dropping off pictures, I sure am chatty! Here are the promised pics:
Coloring with Uncle Joey and Aunty Fish
Petting little Scruffy. She said in her sweetest southern voice "Ohhh baby!"
Giving Uncle Joey 5. This kid is moony over him!
Dancing while chalking up the driveway on one of the pretty days.
More playing outside.
Hamming it up on the couch.
Sweetest baby ever!
Wearing the most adorable dress that Uncle Joey and Aunty Fish brought back for J from Puerto Rico.

March in NC
Sorry I have been MIA for a bit. This has been a really busy week! In the course of exactly one week, we have gone from our biggest (and really only) "snow storm" (yes Steph, I realize that 4-5" of snow is nothing but a dusting in your neck of the woods!) of the winter last Sunday to over 80 degrees today! Its kinda nuts. Anyway, Jules had a blast in the snow and we made her first ever snowman!!! She just LOVED that guy! He was just a little fellow, more like a boy than a man really, but I think that she liked being eye level with him. She held his hand and talked to him. So sweet! I was really worried that she was going to take it pretty hard when he took off to the North Pole to meet up with Frosty. But except for asking about him a couple of times, it wasn't a big deal.
Yesterday and today have been absolutely glorious! Around 80 degrees each day, but no bugs yet! Hallelujah!!! We, of course, went to the park both days and spent as much time as possible on the big front porch. Julianna has really started pedaling her tricycle in the last couple of days too. Oh dear, she is getting to be such a big girl!
I have a ton of pics from this week. Half in coats and hats and snow boots and half in sleaveless tops and sandals!
It started snowing at about 9:00 Sunday night. I was afraid (and was right) that it wouldn't be snowing in the morning and J wouldn't get to see it coming down. So... the crazy lady that I am, I bundled her up and took her out. She was beyond thrilled and cried when I finally made her come in.
We headed back out first thing Monday morning. I think J was shocked that the whole world was white! She was a little wobbly and cautious our first trip out.
Round 2 on Monday afternoon. We walked around the neighborhood a bit and looked at everyone else's snowmen and then came home and made our own. She really got into it and "helped" a bunch. She was SO proud of him and HAD to call Mimi and Poppy out to admire him! She was precious.
Our Snowboy.
On Saturday, Weezie (one of my bestest friends and the soon to be Mama of a little boy!!! Yippie!) came over and played with us. We went over to a little church playground.
She looks like such a big girl, doesn't she? She is almost ALWAYS mistaken for being older than her less than 27 months. I think it is mostly because she is super tall and has SO MUCH DARN HAIR!!!
My beautiful girl!
Too cute!
