November 29, 2009

I have had these pics uploaded for a couple of days, and have SOOO many cute stories to tell - but it's just too late, I'm too tired, and I want to go ahead and get pics up. So I have the stories written down and will save them for next time.

Ok, ok. One super cute one, then straight to the pics. Julianna was watching the Noggin channel the day or so before Thanksgiving and there was a commercial about being thankful. Julianna turned to me and said in the sweetest, almost shy voice, "I'm thankful for you, Mama." I nearly wept.

Just cute!

November 24, 2009

Well, I have another cold, so once again, I don't really feel up to a real deal update. But I did want to drop off some pictures.

Julianna was invited to a birthday party that had a Mickey Mouse Christmas theme - so that is what she is doing in the Christmas dress! This is last year's dress, but I swear it fits that tiny thing even better this year (just a little shorter)!

Oh, and one quick story. Julianna is OBSESSED with Snow White these days. Just LOVES her. Thinks she is "beautiful" and "so nice" and loves her friends the "little mens". She sings the songs Whistle While You Work and Heigh Ho all the time. (In case anyone is wondering about what to get her for her birthday or Christmas - this is a good place to start. We have the movie and the costume dress covered). Anyway, Ryan and Julianna were in a store and saw a Snow White Christmas Stocking. Ryan asked Julianna if she liked it.

Julianna: I can't have that!
Ryan: Why not?
Julianna: My feet are too wittle!

*************

Oops, just one more. Julianna was in the bath the other night and pointed to her forearm bones and very matter-of-factly said, "Mama, this is my Ulna and this is my Radius." What!!??? I called Ryan, and he said he had told her about those bones, but did not grill or quiz her about them. Just told her during a bath. Man that kid kills me!

A picnic that our kitty cat Punkin joined us for the other night. These picnics can be quite the production. She has to invite just the right animals and spends forever seating them in just the right places. Then the food! She takes a very long time picking just the right food for just the right plates. She often asks to have one of these picnics right before bed. Hmmmm....

With her Mickey Mouse Ears.

Watching a train with Mimi at Bass Pro Outlet.

On the Carousel with Mama. She LOVES the Carousel and would ride it ALL day if you would let her!

On some other merry-go-round thing that Mama has NO business being on!

Too cute! In a mall play area.

Looks like she is practicing for some bull riding!

November 15, 2009

We had a great week. Fall is just so darn beautiful around here! Love it. My sister was in town from Wisconsin for a few days so we spent a lot of time with the fam. Julianna had so much fun with "Auntie Stephanie". We all had a nice little faux Thanksgiving yesterday at Mimi and Poppy's also. It was SO lovely and we even went out on the boat for a little ride. Julianna wore herself plum out playing with Auntie Stephanie and Uncle Joey (Julianna missed you Auntie Fish!). She was so exhausted that she fell asleep on the car ride home yesterday evening, which she NEVER EVER does, then slept through the night. Of course she was up at 5:00 this morning rarin' to go :( Eek!!

Julianna is just so darn sweet these days. She will just come up to me and say, "I love you, Mama" and then move on. It just kills me! I really am the most blessed Mama in the world!! Also, just about every other thing that comes out of her mouth could make it to the blog. She is so stinkin' cute and really funny! I wish I could remember a quarter of the things she says. I try to write them down when I can, but I just forget so much! Maybe if the kid would sleep a little more, my brain wouldn't be mush! Anyway, here are a couple cute stories I did write down from this week:

***************

I was in the kitchen and Julianna ran in.

Julianna: Mama, some people have big tummies and some people have wittle ones.
Me: Yes, that's true.
Julianna: Yeah.

Then she ran out. I chuckled about that for several minutes. I did NOT ask her which category I fell into!

Outside our condo there are some tree with some very beautiful bright orange leaves. They peaked a few days ago. As we walked outside Julianna's face lit up.

Julianna: Mama, look at the beautiful trees!
Me: Yes, they are VERY lovely.
Julianna: Who painted them??

Look at little Cinderella!

With Auntie Stephanie and Punkin in their fort!

This kid is such a mess! She INSISTED on wearing these SNOW boots yesterday. It was about 75 degrees!

With Poppy.

Checking out some flowers.

Coloring with "Uncle Joey!".

On the boat. Look at the outfit now - red sweater and orange hat added to dress and snow boots. What a hoot!

Snuggling with Auntie Stephanie on the boat.

Love her expression in this one. She looks ticked about something!

Licking the peppermint icing beater. Mimi and Auntie Stephanie thought Mama was a real spoilsport for not letter her lick the cake batter beater because of the raw eggs! Over my dead body! I'm sort of cuckoo about that stuff!!

More snuggling.

Playing in the pool with Uncle Joey.
