Just dropping off some pictures (mostly taken with my new camera). Don't have time for a real update right now, but will try to later this week. Tomorrow J and I are going to Atlanta to visit one of my besties and her family. Can't wait. Katy and I have been really good friends since we were both brand new to Charlotte in 10th grade. Could that really have been like 17 years ago? We are SO OLD!!!

Also, Happy Father's Day to Dada, Poppy, Granddaddy and Great Grandpa! You guys are the finest fathers I know! Julianna and I are so lucky to have you in our lives!


Julianna has taken to wearing my shirts. I forgot to bring anything to change her into to the pool one day and ended up putting one of my t-shirts on her (with a rubberband at the neck in the back) for the way home. Well now she insist that she wears one of my shirts home from the pool EVERYTIME!

This little contraption is called a "Puddle Jumper". It is the greatest. I was at Wal-Mart the other day buying her a new pair of swimmies, which she does very well with, and a lady talked me into getting this instead - of course the puddle jumper was about 15x more expensive but really is atleast 15 times better. It is actually a Coast Guard certified lifejacket and she can really get around in it! It really keeps her head out of the water. Love it!

Sorry for being MIA for so long. My camera broke :( Seriously, I have the WORST luck with cameras! I left the last one sitting on top of the photo kiosk in Target (it was stolen), and then left this last one on the kitchen counter to be kicked off by Jules. Now that I think about it, it seems less like bad luck and more like irresponsibility on my part both times... Anyway, I am still working on getting a new one.

We are really enjoying the summer! We are going to the pool as often as possible (It seems like it has done nothing but rain here for the past 2 months), and we have been getting together with Julianna's little friend at least once or twice a week. Oh that reminds me... A cute little conversation Julianna and I had on the way home from her friend's house:

Julianna: I'm tired.
Me: I'm tired too!
Julianna: I'm tired too, too!

She then laughed a bit realizing that she said too too and launched into something about Tutu being the name of the dog on the cartoon "Little Bear". It was just precious.

We had a big day today. We went out on a long boat ride this morning, including a stop at a lakeside deli for breakfast. Then after her nap we went over to the pool for a while. I hope she sleeps well tonight... I'm tired too, too!

Just before going out to the boat. It was before 9 am and I thought it might be a bit cool (it wasn't) so I put this little shirt on her. My brother has one like it and Julianna said right away "Like Joey's!!" By the way, she has band aids all over, but no actual "boo boos". They have "Hello Kitty" on them and she LOVES them.


Can you believe this ponytail? I mean seriously, the kid is just barely (not even, really) 2.5! I have never even had one single curl my whole life! I'm jealous!

I really only posted this one because while I was uploading these pics, Julianna saw this picture on the monitor and said "I felt sad". Ohhhhh, I could have cried! But really, she wasn't sad - just pouting!
